The Other Man Who Is Ruining My Marriage
I am blogging at 4:00am. That means I am not in bed with my husband. As happens with so many marriages, another man has come between us.
Sid Meier.
Yes. I have been playing Civilization III** since 10:00. I had no idea what time it was. I looked at the clock thinking "Man, it's late. I bet it's 1:30 already. Well, baby. No, it ain't. It's 3:45. THREE FRIGGING FORTY FIVE. These are vampire hours.
What's worse is that I only want to sleep so that my gameplay is fresher tomorrow. Make that 'later today.'
**I'm on a Mac. I won't get IV for another 6 months--after all you nice PC people have beta tested it for me..

Civilization III? Ooo. I love that game, but here in the land of hippie liberals, we stay up all night playing Deirdre on Alpha Centauri.

I want to get the new Age of Empires and Civ IV, but we spend too much money on books and DVDs.
ROFL - how lucky to have the flexibility that insomnia provides! :-D

I will have you know, Castor, (or are you Pollux?) that I am only playing Civ III to give me a break from my near-constant Alpha Centauri/Alien Crossfire Gameplay. I always play Dierdre, but I rename her alphabetically to track my games. My last game was Thalia--the fifth time I've hit "T". I used to think that was sad...but now I've made my peace with it.

I know. That's why I've avoided them all like the plague. I can literally see myself having to be one of the EverCrack kids in therapy.
I had Civ II (I think it was) for the Playstation. It was fun- actually, one of the people that played one of the advisors was a guy I know. I wanted to get Civ III when it came out, since I liked the PS version so much, but at the time I had a computer that couldn't run it. My fear about getting computer games is, then I'd NEVER get off the computer, and that might be bad. ;)
I'm certain to get Civ IV for Christmas from The Boyfriend™
Can't wait. The only problem I had with Civ III was, as a turn-based game, once you got to the later stages the turns seemed to take FOREVER.
