My favritestest God game ever is in the lead in this development poll at Firaxis. This game is teh pwned!!!11!!! or whatever. ( I don't even know if this is a good thing. Can ANYONE tell me what pwned means in leetspeak?)
I am shamelessly addicted to Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri & Alien Crossfire, or SMAC/X, as we know it in the geek world. Help me stuff the ballot box.

I'm on Sid Meier's Pirates like Mindy McCready on a bottle of pills.
"Pwned" is netspeak for "owned" (i.e., had one's posterior kicked, literally or metaphorically speaking), as in "Hermione totally pwned Ron after she saw him with Lavendar."
Found you via the Watts' blog, and am also a member of FBC (not to mention a fellow Potter fanatic). Just wanted to tell you that I really enjoy your posts.

I've played hours and hours and hours of Civilization. However, that only equates to a single game! That thing is titanic.
I've not been able to secure a Mac copy, much to my disappointment.

I was hooked on Civilization II for a large part of the last decade. The newer versions have more bells and whistles but don't have that "I'm going to play this at the risk of losing work, sleep, relationships, and nutrition" appeal that Civ II had.
Man, all of you who were hooked on CivII have to try SMAC/X.
It is the best since CivII at conquering all of your waking moments.
BTW, Pam, thanks for clearing up the pwned thing. We may yet have to start a Baptist Harry Potter Freaks Anonymous. Or maybe, since we've both given our full names, it can't be anonymous.
