I Miss My Mr. Bad Example

The most insidious thing about iTunes Shuffle Play is that you suddenly hear a much loved voice from beyond the grave.

I wasn't expecting to hear "Mutineer". It always makes me cry, and this time was no exception. Let's grab our coats and get out of here, indeed.

I hadn't thought about Warren in a while until I was flipping through the stations yesterday and caught "Lawyers, Guns, and Money". He really was a tragic loss. They say that about everybody, and for most it really is, but he was still writing some great songs up until the end.

Nice memories, indeed. I revisit Warren's music only once or twice a year, but when I do whatever CD I put into the car player stays on for about three weeks straight.

I feel a revisit coming on now.

I'm still not sure I 'get' Warren, but the songs are so beautiful and poetic to me.

'El Amor de mi Vida' is so gorgeous in its longing and plaintive melody that I feel I should light a votive and say a silent prayer for Warren.
