Summer Reading

I've been commissioned to write a children's book†. So that's how I'm spending my days. Big Orange Michael, on the other hand, is making Big Orange Plans to do a lot of reading this summer. He's included one of my all-time favourite books--Neal Stephenson's Cryptonomicon-- on his reading list.

Any book that contains the phrase "Alan's penis scheme" is good reading, people.

†For my sister's Kindergarten classes, so it isn't as big a deal as it sounds.

Weren't you supposed to have a job interview today? I hope the kindergardeners weren't too tough!

Seriously, if it was today, I hope it goes/went well.

I take offense at that! My kindergarteners ARE a big deal!
:-)
The book is fantastic and creative. I told you to put your name on it so no one steals it. You may scoff at "kiddie lit," but I bet you could get a children's book published easily. You are so talented and creative, and you get what kids like.

Thanks a million!

Thanks for the shout out. :)

And I've read Snow Crash and other older Stephenson books. And I always feel like I'm missing the boat by not having read his more recent books--evne though they could be used as doorstops should I not like them.
